Translation
The Tradition of the Wish-Maker
At sunrise, to the wind I was telling the tradition of the wish-maker
A speech came and said, 'Be confidant in the favors of God
Morning prayers and sighs of night are the keys to the treasure of the destination
Go in this way and behavior that you become adjoined with the lover
The old attractive world is not merciful in its natural disposition
From its love, what do you ask? In that zeal what do you block off?
The pen is not to be that tongue, that it speaks in love
It is behind the limits of the tongues exposition, the description of the wish-maker
The royal/fortunate, like you, of great stature, for how long will greed for bones?
Alas that you cast the shade of the zeal upon the unworthy
In this bazaar, if there is benefit with the satisfied ascetic
Oh God, I am a rich man of the heavens with asceticism and satisfaction
With the poem of Hafez of Shiraz, they dance and exult
The black eyes of the Kashmiri and the Turks of Samargand'
